Accessibility statement

TrainerBook is committed to making our booking and client-portal service usable by as many people as possible, including disabled users. We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA — the benchmark behind the European Accessibility Act and UK accessibility guidance.

What we do

• Pages are operable with a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators.
• Form fields have associated labels; images have text alternatives or are marked decorative.
• Semantic HTML and landmark regions so assistive technology can navigate.
• Light and dark themes, and responsive layouts down to small phone screens.
• Colour contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA across our light, dark and custom brand themes.
• We test key pages with the axe accessibility engine as part of our process.
• We have carried out a manual screen-reader (NVDA) review of the main journeys — booking, managing a booking, and the client portal.

Conformance status

TrainerBook is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the service meets the standard and we are actively closing the remaining gaps. Known issues we are working on:

• The booking calendar is a third-party component; its navigation controls are keyboard-operable and labelled, and its decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• An independent third-party accessibility audit is planned for a later date to formally confirm conformance.
